Privacy notice
Spill the Hire is run by Mirei [Surname], a sole trader based in the UK ("I", "me"). I take your privacy seriously, especially because you trust me with your CV and career details. Questions? Email hello@spillthehire.com.
What I collect
- Newsletter: your first name and email address.
- Bookings: your name, email, the session you booked, and anything you share with me (CV, LinkedIn profile, job details).
- Payments: handled by Stripe. I never see or store your card details.
Why I use it
- To deliver the session you paid for (contract).
- To send The Weekly Spill, only if you signed up (consent). Unsubscribe anytime via the link in every email.
- To keep basic financial records, as required by HMRC (legal obligation).
Who I share it with
Only the services that make this work: Cal.com (bookings), Stripe (payments), Google (video calls and email), and Kit (newsletter). I never sell your data, and I never share your CV or story with anyone, including on social media, without your written permission. Even then it's anonymised.
How long I keep it
CVs and session notes are deleted 6 months after your last session, unless you ask me to keep them. Booking and payment records are kept for 6 years for tax purposes. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time by emailing me. If you're unhappy with how I've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
